I felt uncomfortable with the conventional and industrialised management of bees very soon after starting beekeeping. I look towards the natural behaviours of free living and untreated bees to guide my thinking and p underpinning this with the latest scientific discoveries from free nests. I hope the trend towards a more species appropriate and apicentic interaction with bees shall continue as we learn more.
